Name Change

Over the last month or two, much has been made of the clubs name coming on the back of the publication of the clubs history which is titled 'Kiladangan GAA Club A Centenary History'. The clubs original name was 'Kiladangan' but sometime over the years the use of 'Kildangan' has come into use and has stuck. On the night of the publication launch, the books co-author Danny Grace highlighted this matter and felt that the club name should be reverted back to the original 'Kiladangan'. On foot of this, at an executive committee meeting, the motion of reverting back to 'Kiladangan' was passed with ‘Kiladangan’ to be used going forward.

Club of the Year

In a fitting way to mark the end of the clubs centenary year, Kiladangan were last week named as North Tipperary Club of the Year for 2015 with Joe Gallagher named as Senior Hurler of the Year and James Quigley named as Minor Hurler of the Year. The presentation night will take place on Friday 29th January with the venue to be confirmed soon.

Membership

Membership is now being taking for the senior club with the rate of €50 for adult players and €30 for students and non-playing members. Membership money can be given to any club officer.

Club Lotto

Numbers drawn were 8,17,21,25 with no winner. Next weeks jackpot stands at €6,300. Thanks to all for your continued support.

Club History Publication

The book detailing the clubs history ‘Kiladangan – A Centenary History’ written by Danny Grace and Seamus Hogan is available to purchase at a price of €20 from any club officer and any of the following: Kennedys Shop Puckane, Tonys Tipp Top Shop Ballycommon, Sullivans Ardcroney, Easons Nenagh, Ryans Bookshop Nenagh, The News Fayre Nenagh and JKC’s Nenagh. The book would make for an excellent Christmas present.

Kiladangan’s Cycling Challenge 2016

The Launch of Kiladangan's Cycling Challenge 2016 will take place on Friday 29th of January at 9.30pm in McGrath's Puckane at 9.30pm.  Information on the event is available on Kiladangan Website, where you can also sign up for your chosen Cycling Challenge. Tipperary Supporters Club

Please support all Tipperary Hurling teams by joining the Tipperary Supporters Club. Membership is only 30 euro and can be purchased from Catherine Gleeson. Also, to those that are selling the National Club Draw tickets then can you please return these to Catherine Gleeson before the end of January.

Juvenile Indoor Hurling

Indoor hurling training continues every Tuesday evening in Borrisokane Community College sports complex as follows: U10s and U12s from 6.00 to 6.45 and U6s and U8s from 6.45 to 7.30. New players more than welcome to come along.

Juvenile Registration

Registration of all Juvenile players for 2016 will take place at the clubhouse in Puckane on Wednesday 27th January from 6.30 to 8.00pm
