Kiladangan started the game brightly and held a 1-4 to 0-2 lead after ten minutes with Dan O'Meara the Kiladangan scorer. Kiladangan went into the half time break with a 1-9 to 0-6 lead. Jack Lee gave Roscrea an ideal start to the half with a great goal which reduced the deficit to three points. However, Conor Culhane responded with a Kiladangan goal three minutes later with a great finish to the Roscrea net. This gave Kiladangan a cushion throughout the half and they further extended the lead on the 52nd minute with Eoin Meagher finishing to the net after a scramble in the box. Mickey Ryan scored Roscrea's second goal on the 58th minute.
