Minor
Kiladangan are due to take on Toomevara on this Wednesday 30th August at 6.30 pm in Nenagh in the North 'A' Hurling Semi Final. Please come out and support the lads.
Under 6, 8 & 10
U6 and U8 hurling continues every Wednesday evening from 6.30-7.30pm. The U8s will travel to Portroe on Thursday for a game at 6.30pm. U10s training is on Wednesdays at 7.00pm.
Under 11
The U11s recorded a fine win over Burgess last Friday evening in Puckane in what was a super game of hurling. The final score was 1-8 to 2-1. Their next game is on Saturday 9th September away to Lorrha. Our annual U11 Dick Mulcahy tournament took place in Puckane last Saturday morning and teams from Burgess, Silvermines, Kilruane, Borrisokane and Shannon Rovers participated. It was a great morning's hurling and in the end a strong Silvermines outfit beat our lads in the final. Many thanks to all those who helped out on the day to make the tournament such a success.
Under 13
The U13 north championship got underway last Wednesday and our lads were beaten by a very strong Ballinahinch Templederry combination team.
Under 14
Our U14s will take on Roscrea in the North final which is fixed for this Saturday 2nd September in Dolla at 2.30 pm. Please come out to support the lads.
Under 16
The U16s recorded a fine win over Borrisokane in their north quarter final last Monday in Pocan on a scoreline of 2-21 to 2-16. Goal scorers on the night were Conor Culhane and Eoin McGrath. The north semi final will take place next Monday evening 4th September when they will play Toomevara in Toomevara at 6.30pm.
Juvenile Membership
Any outstanding registration fees should be paid immediately to any club officer.
Intercounty Action
Huge congratulations to three of our U14s - Paul Seymour, Darragh Ryan and DJ McGrath - who were on the Tipperary U14 team that won the inter county Tony Forristal tournament on Saturday. The Tipperary team beat Galway in the final on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-9.
Well done also to Sean Hayes who was on the U16 Tipperary team that just lost out to Kilkenny in the U16 final. Sean scored 1-2 in the final.
Club Development
The past number of weeks have seen steady progress on the new club facilities with ground work construction almost complete in preparation for steel structure. The Eighteen-member development committee have put in a massive effort to progress the funding strands, with the ‘Give a Grand Scheme’ reaching a figure of 131K this week. This is a huge commitment by people in our parish and we can all look forward to modern sports and community facilities very soon. The committee have also made significant progress on a Business donation scheme which is on course to reach targets. For less than €1 per day over 3 years you and your family can support this project and ensure our community finally have modern state of the art sports and community facilities. Community Transformation
Exercise classes with fitness guru Philomena Ryan will commence this coming Friday 1st September at 7 pm in the GAA field in Puckane. Suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.
