Senior Hurling
A huge congratulations to our Senior hurlers who were crowned North Senior Hurling Champions for the tenth time in the club’s history, following a hard-fought 0-20 to 0-19 win over Borris-Ileigh last Sunday in MacDonagh Park, Nenagh.
With the wind at their backs, Kiladangan led 0-11 to 0-9 at the break. The second half proved to be a tense affair, but the lads held their nerve to keep the narrow lead and secure a historic victory. Captain Tadhg Gallagher accepted the Frank McGrath Cup on behalf of the team, while Alan Flynn was named Clubber Man of the Match for his excellent performance.
This win adds to previous North titles won in 1938, 1943, 2008, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2021, and 2024.
The victory came on the back of a thrilling 3-21 to 2-21 Semi Final win over Toomevara on Wednesday, July 30th in Templederry. Despite trailing 2-14 to 2-9 at half time, Kiladangan rallied in the second half with a goal from Paul Flynn in the 37th minute, adding to his earlier goal and one from Dan O’Meara.
Teams, scorers, and full score trackers for both games are available now at KiladanganGAA.com.
Focus now turns to the County Championship, where the lads will take on Clonoulty Rossmore this Sunday, August 10th at 1:00 pm in Templemore. There’s been phenomenal support throughout the North Championship – let’s keep that spirit going as we head into the County campaign!

Junior 'A' Hurling
The Junior 'A' hurlers next game is on Friday 15th August against Toomevara in Shalee whilst they still have to face Ballinahinch with this game yet to be refixed.

Junior 'B' Hurling
It was a successful week for our Junior ‘B’ hurlers, who picked up two important wins in the North Championship, both played in Puckane.
First up was a hard-fought 1-16 to 0-18 win over Borrisokane on Monday, July 28th. Despite trailing 0-13 to 0-8 at half time, Kiladangan came out firing in the second half, with a crucial Tommy Connors goal setting the tone. Darren Ryan added some excellent points to push Kiladangan ahead by the 40th minute. The final stages were tightly contested, with Paraic Kelly landing the winning point in injury time.
Then on Saturday evening, the team made it two from two with a 0-17 to 0-14 victory over Burgess. Once again, they trailed at the break (0-7 to 0-8) but produced a strong second-half performance to secure the win.
Teams, scorers, and a score tracker for both games can be found on KiladanganGAA.com.
Next up, the lads travel to Moneygall for their final group game this Friday, August 8th at 7:00 pm. Best of luck to the team!

They faced Kilruane MacDonaghs on Monday, August 4th, with the result not available at the time of going to print.
Their next outing is scheduled for Monday, August 11th away to Roscrea, with throw-in at 7:30 pm. Best of luck to the team as they aim to continue their winning form.
