Camogie Notes
Congratulations to our Junior Camogie girls who took part in the Catherine O'Connell Tournament, held in Burgess last Saturday. The girls put in a fantastic performance throughout the day, taking on Burgess, Ballina and Smith O'Briens in the group stages before progressing to the final, where they defeated Ballina. A huge well done to all the players for their outstanding effort, teamwork and determination. Many thanks to Burgess Duharra for hosting such a great day and also to Catherine O'Connell's family.
Massive congratulations to Ava Fitzgerald who helped her Tipperary team mates win the U14 Shield final held in Youghal on Saturday. Strong performances led to a convincing win in the Shield final against Wexford. Chloe Kingston and Leah Carey both played their part in helping the Tipperary A panel to win their group games against Wexford and Cork in the group stages. Unfortunately they came up short against Kilkenny in the Cup final in their blitz played in Co Kilkenny. Keep up the hard work girls, you are doing your club proud.
Football
Hard luck to our minor football team who were beaten by Ballina last Wednesday, 2-3 to 4-4.
Juvenile
Hard luck to our U16 B team who lost out to Lorrha on Monday evening in round four of the North Championship. Well done to our U12 team who played Nenagh Eire Og on Tuesday evening in Puckane.
