Well done to our senior hurlers on a fantastic victory over Roscrea in Round 1 of the County Senior Hurling Championship on Saturday evening, winning on a scoreline of 2-23 to 0-21. Playing with the aid of the breeze in the first half, our lads produced an excellent display and went into the break with a commanding 1-18 to 0-9 lead. Roscrea responded strongly after halftime, putting together a fine run of scores. However, our team showed great character and composure, finishing the game strongly with a late burst of 1-2 to secure a deserved 2-23 to 0-21 victory. Congratulations to all the players and management on a great start to the championship campaign. We look forward to Round 2 where we will play Cashel King Cormacs on Saturday 8th August at 5pm in Templemore. Best of luck to everyone involved!

Hard luck to our minor hurlers who were narrowly defeated by Borris-Ileigh last Wednesday evening in Round 2 of the North Minor A Hurling Championship on a scoreline of 3-20 to 3-21. The lads produced a very solid performance and held the lead for most of the game, playing some excellent hurling throughout. Unfortunately, a late injury-time goal for Borris-Ileigh proved decisive, as they snatched victory by the narrowest of margins. While the result was a disappointing one, the performance was full of positives, and the team can take great encouragement from their display. Focus now turns to round 3 where we meet Toomevara in Toomevara on Wednesday 29th July at 7:00pm. Best of luck to all involved.

Well done to our U12 A & C teams on their performances against Ballina on Tuesday evening. Well done to our U16B team, who were victorious over Portroe in Round 7 of their campaign last Monday evening, recording a 2-14 to 0-16 score. Best of luck to our U14 B team who take on Portroe on Thursday 30th July in Puckane at 6:45pm. Please keep an eye on our social media channels for all upcoming juvenile fixtures and results.

Well done to Donagh Carmody, James O’Dwyer and Daniel Boland, who lined out for the Tipperary Under-16 hurling teams on Saturday. They secured a victory over Offaly and a draw against Cork. Wishing the lads the very best of luck for the remainder of the campaign!
