Super Bowl Square Competiton

Kiladangan are running a Super Bowl square to kickstart the new year in the club. There are 100 squares up for grabs and first prize is €1000. Each square costs €50 and along with a square each person who enters will get a ticket for entry into the national GAA club draw where first prize up for grabs is a car. For those unfamiliar with NFL squares it involves 100 boxes (1 name per box) placed in a square and then numbers are drawn to each grid as per attached photo and the winner is determined by the 2nd digit from the full time score so for example home team 13 away team 17 the person in the corresponding box where 3&7 meet is the winner. There will also be prize money for half time score, and score at the end of both quarters. Essentialy it’s a bit of fun and makes the game entertaining to watch with the luck of the draw determining the winner. Lotto

A big congrats to Malachy Hoolan (Lahorna) who won Monday 14th Januarys lotto Jackpot of €6,800 with the winning numbers of 3,5,8,12. There was no winner of the '€500 Second Chance' draw with the numbers drawn: 6,14,15,33. The Kiladangan lotto is now available to play online through the club’s website at https://kiladangangaa.clubifyapp.com/products.

Operation Transformation Walk

A big crowd turned out last Thursday night for the launch of the club's part in the GAA teaming up with RTÉ’s Operation Transformation in planning a weekly walk every Thursday night starting at 7pm. A big thanks to all those that turned out and to Lauren Guilfoyle who came to launch the walk. We hope to see as many people as possible there again next Thursday night at 7. This walk will be over a five- week period (January 17th – February 21st, 2019) as RTE’s Operation Transformation returns to our screens.

Under 21 Football

The Under 21s will commence their football campaign on Sunday 10th February at 12 noon where they will take on Borrisokane in Borrisokane in the North 'A' Semi Final. The U21 management team for 2019 will consist of Sean O'Meara, Fergal Hayes, Michael Quigley and Ruairi Gleeson.

Minor Football

Kiladangan will compete in the 'A' grade in North Minor Football for 2019. This will consist of a group of five teams with the fixtures outlined as per below.

Round 1 - Sunday 24th February at 12 noon v Kilruane in Cloughjordan.

Round 2 - Sunday 3rd March at 12 noon v Nenagh Eire Og in Puckane.

Round 3 - Sunday 17th March at 12 noon v Inane Rovers in Roscrea.

Round 4 - Sunday 24th March at 12 noon v Ballina in Puckane.

Round 5 - a bye

Please note that the above fixtures are liable to be changed. Any change in fixtures will be posted on the clubs social media accounts and clubify. The minor management team for 2019 will consist of Seamus Gleeson, Micheal Ryan and Darren Moran.

Schools Hurling

Best of luck to the Kiladangan contingent (Conor Culhane, Matthew Cleary, Eoin McGrath, Darragh Ryan, Aidan Ryan, Robert Clarke and Oisin Webb) who are part of the Borrisokane Community College panel that take on Colaiste an Phiarsaigh (Glanmire) on Monday 28th January in the Semi Final of the Munster 'C' Schools Hurling Championship.

Fitzgibbon Cup

Well done to Darren Moran (who played full back for Limerick IT) and Barry Hogan (University of Limerick) who won their first round games in the Fitzgibbon Cup last Sunday.

Membership

Club membership for 2019 is now due and you can pay online at kiladangangaa.clubifyapp.com/membership_products.

There are different pricing options for playing members (€80) , non playing members (€30), students (€40), a combination of Tipp Draw, Kiladangan Lotto and non playing membership for the year (€200) and a combination of Kiladangan lotto and non playing membership for the year (€110).

Membership can also be paid to club registrar Fergal Hayes who can be contacted at (086) 150 6266. Fergal will be collecting membership this coming Thursday 24th January at 7.00 pm in the club house in Puckane.

Juvenile Management Teams

Following on the County Board Convention held before Christmas, team gradings for 2019 remains unchanged.

Our underage mentors for 2019 are as follows:

U6 - Trevor Galvin, John Daly, Eoin Meagher, Michael Quinn and Oisin Ryan.

U8 - Gary Byrne, Tim O’Brien, Eddie Fogarty and James Cullinane.

U10 - Kevin Connolly, Mike Carmody, Dan Hackett, Jimmy O’Dwyer, Ruairí Boland.

U12 - Paddy Gallagher, Anthony Sherlock, Darren McGrath, Brian Kennedy, Paul Gavin and John Maher and Oisin Ryan

U14 - Johnny Horan, Andy Loughnane and Paul Flynn.

U16 - Seamus Gleeson, Micheal Ryan Tommy Connors , James Quigley and Darren Moran.

Juvenile Registration

Registration all juvenile players for 2019 will take place in the Clubhouse on Wednesday January 30th from 7.00-8.00pm. New Club gear can be ordered on that night as well - this will be the only opportunity to order gear this season.

Under 12

Our U12s will play Clarecastle in a challenge game in Puckane on Saturday at 3.30pm in advance of the Tipperary vs Clare opening league game in Semple Stadium at 7.00pm.

Draws

The County Senior Hurling, County Senior Football and County Intermediate Hurling draws will take place on Monday the 28th of January. The draw will be broadcast live on Tipp FM’s “Extra Time” program between 7 and 8pm. The North Championship draws will take place on Wednesday the 30th of January in the Hibernian Inn in Nenagh. The draw's will be posted on the Kiladangan social media accounts whilst they happen so keep an eye out.

Tipperary Supporters Club
