County Hurling Championship

It was a successful weekend for our hurlers with both our Senior’s and Intermediates’ starting off their county campaign’s with two impressive wins. First up on Saturday, the Senior’s had a 9 point win over Drom Inch in Templederry, 2-23 to 0-20 with Joe Gallagher and Billy Seymour the goalscorers. On Sunday evening in Newport, the Intermediate’s won out by 6 points, defeating Lattin Cullen Gaels 1-19 to 1-13 with Paddy Coen scoring the Kiladangan goal. Teams and Scorers for both games are available on the club’s website. The next stages of the County Hurling Championship will re-commence later in the summer.

North Senior Hurling Championship

Best of luck to the Senior hurlers who take on Toomevara this coming Friday 12th April at 6.30 pm in Cloughjordan in the first round of the North Senior Hurling Championship. Please come out to support the lads.

Senior Football

Kiladangan will commence their Senior Football campaign this coming Sunday 14th April at 3.00 pm in Boherlahan against Ardfinnan. Tommy Connors and Paul Kirwan are part of the Senior Football management team this year. Best of luck to all.

North Minor Hurling League
The minor hurlers lost out to Toomevara last Wednesday on a 0-13 to 0-14 scoreline in the first game of the North Minor Hurling League. They will take on Ballina this Thursday (11th) in Puckane. Please refer to the club’s social media for throw in time.

This league is used as an avenue so to give as many games as possible to the minor hurlers in the division and to prepare ahead of the Championship commencing in the summer.

College Hurling

Hard luck to Billy Seymour who was full forward on the Limerick IT team that lost out to UL last week in the All Ireland Fresher Hurling Final.

Underage Training

Our U10s are back training on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm. The U6s and U8s will be back in action this week - full details on training will be sent out by text.

Under 12

The U12s had mixed fortunes this past week. They beat Newport away on a scoreline of 3-1 to 2-2 last Tuesday but lost out to Silvermines in Dolla on Friday evening on a scoreline of 1-5 to 2-4. They played Moneygall at home yesterday evening (Tuesday 9th) with no result at time of going to press. Their next game is away to Lorrha next Tuesday at 7.00pm

Under 14

The U14s first game is away to Newport on this Saturday (13th April) at 4.00pm.

Under 16

The U16s recorded a fine win (3-6 to 1-6) over Portroe away in the first round of the North Football championship last Monday. They played Inane Rovers at home on Monday evening with no result at time of going to press. They are out again next Monday playing Burgess at 7.00pm in Kilcolman

Easter Camp

This year’s Kiladangan GAA Easter camp for 5-14 year old boys and girls will run on Tuesday 23rd, Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th April from 10.00am to 1.00pm each day. Cost is €5 per day. Please bring hurley, helmet, packed lunch, gum-shield and appropriate rain gear. Any queries please contact Darragh Egan.

Please note that Juvenile Club membership is now due and can be paid to any club officer.

Membership

Club membership for 2019 is now due and you can pay online at kiladangangaa.clubifyapp.com/membership_products. There are different pricing options for playing members (€80) , non playing members (€30), students (€40), a combination of Tipp Draw, Kiladangan Lotto and non playing membership for the year (€200) and a combination of Kiladangan lotto and non playing membership for the year (€110). Membership can also be paid to club registrar Fergal Hayes who can be contacted at (086) 150 6266.

There was no winner of Monday 1st April lotto jackpot of €5,000 with the numbers drawn 10, 12, 20, 25.
