Senior Hurling

Well done to the Senior hurlers who had a hard earned 1-17 to 1-12 win over Toomevara last Friday evening in Cloughjordan in the Preliminary Round of the North Senior Hurling Championship with Paul Flynn scoring the Kiladangan goal in the first half. Full teams and scorers are available on the club’s website. The Quarter Final’s of the North Championship will take place later in the Summer.

Senior Football

The footballers played Ardfinnan last Sunday in Golden in blustery conditions where they lads lost out on a 0-2 to 0-9 scoreline. Willie Connors was the Kiladangan scorer with two free’s. Full team is available on the club’s website. They will take on JK Brackens and Ballyporeen in the remaining group games later in the summer.

County Hurling League

County Hurling League action will resume on the weekend of the 27th/28th April where the Seniors will take on Thurles Sarsfields whilst the Intermediates will take on Cappawhite. Final fixture details will be posted once they are confirmed.

Junior ‘B’ Hurling

The Junior ‘B’ hurlers will take on Burgess this coming Sunday 21st April at 12 noon in Kilcolman.

Minor Football

Kiladangan’s North Minor Football Final fixture against Ballina will take place on Friday 26th April at 7pm in Portroe.

North Minor Hurling League

The minor hurlers lost out to Ballina last Thursday on a 1-10 to 1-12 scoreline in their second game of the North Minor Hurling League. They will take on Borrisokane this Wednesday (17th) at 7pm in Borrisokane.

Under 12

The U12s recorded a fine win over Moneygall at home last Tuesday evening on a scoreline of 1-7 to 0-6. The goal scorer was Pauric Meagher. Their final game before the knockout stages was away to Lorrha on Tuesday evening with no result at time of going to press.

Under 14

The U14s had a big win over Newport B in very windy conditions away last Saturday. The scoreline was 9-5 to 0-0. Goal-scorers for Kiladangan were Jack Connolly (3), Ben Kirwan (2) and Jos Slattery, Callum O’Shea, Owen Freeman Nash and Matthew Ehinger 1 each. Their next game is at home to Portroe this Thursday evening at 7.00pm.

Under 16

The U16s lost our to a strong Inane Rovers outfit last Monday. They played away to Burgess on Monday evening with no result at time of going to press. They now await the draw to see who their quarter final opponents will be.

Easter Camp

This year’s Kiladangan GAA Easter camp for 5-14 year old boys and girls will run on Tuesday 23rd, Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th April from 10.00am to 1.00pm each day. Cost is €5 per day. Please bring hurley, helmet, packed lunch, gum-shield and appropriate rain gear. Any queries please contact Darragh Egan.

Please note that Juvenile Club membership is now due and can be paid to any club officer.

Croke Park Trip

Our U12s and U10s travel to Dublin this Friday where the 12s will participate in an All Ireland football blitz in Croke Park. On the day they will play teams from Mayfield, Castlegregory and Athea. Afterwards both teams will play St. Oliver Plunketts in challenge hurling matches and they will then round the day off with a visit to Aqua Zone in the National Aquatic Centre in Blanchardstown. A great day out for all our young players.

Adult Membership

Club membership for 2019 is now due and you can pay online at kiladangangaa.clubifyapp.com/membership_products. There are different pricing options for playing members (€80) , non playing members (€30), students (€40), a combination of Tipp Draw, Kiladangan Lotto and non playing membership for the year (€200) and a combination of Kiladangan lotto and non playing membership for the year (€110). Membership can also be paid to club registrar Fergal Hayes who can be contacted at (086) 150 6266.

There was no winner of Monday 8th April lotto jackpot of €5,100 with the numbers drawn 5,7,14,17.
