Intercounty Action

Pride of place goes to the strong KIladangan contingent of five who were involved in Tipperary’s impressive win over Kilkenny last Sunday afternoon in the All Ireland Hurling Final. Willie Connors made substitute appearance in the second half, scoring two long range points. Alan Flynn was a member of the match day panel whilst David Sweeney and Barry Hogan were members of the extended panel. They now join their selector/coach Darragh Egan (who won it as a player in 2010) on the list of Kiladangan men who have won All Ireland Senior Hurling medals - Martin Kennedy - 1925, 1930, Jimmy Kennedy - 1949, 1950, 1951, Billy McLoughney – 1961, Seamus Hogan – 1971, Darragh Egan – 2010.

The club are extremely proud of the lads achievements throughout the year with Tipperary on what was the club’s most successful involvement on All Ireland Final day. Well done lads.

Attention now turns to Billy Seymour and Sean Hayes who are part of the Tipperary U20 panel that take on Cork this coming Saturday at 6 pm in the Gaelic Grounds Limerick in the All Ireland Final. Best of luck lads.
