Hard luck to the Junior 'A' Footballers who lost out to Newport last Friday evening in Newport on a 2-8 to 2-11 scoreline. Kiladangan enjoyed a 1-6 to 1-5 half time lead with the Kiladangan goal coming from Stephen Mulvihill who finished well into the top corner. Newport were well in top for the third quarter of the game with Kiladangan failing to score in the first eighteen minutes of the half. A well taken goal by Darren Moran from the penalty spot with ten minutes to go bought the sides level but Newport finished strong scoring a goal in the closing minutes of the game to gain the win.
