Senior
The senior hurlers face Borris Ileigh this Wednesday 10th May at 7.30 pm in Puckane in the final group game of the County Hurling League. A win is required for the lads to secure a place in the Semi Finals.
Intermediate
Well done to the Intermediate hurlers who had a 1-18 to 0-13 win over Carrick Davins last Saturday in The Ragg in the fifth round of the County Hurling League. Davins made the better start, scoring the first three points of the game. However, Kiladangan went onto dominate the rest of the half - going into the half time break leading 1-11 to 0-5. DJ McGrath scored the games only goal just before half time after his free dropped short into the back of the Davins net. DJ gave an impressive first half performance scoring 1-4. With the weather worsening in the second half, it led to difficult hurling conditions. Davins were unable to claw back the deficient in the second half, however they did finish the game strong scoring the last four points of the game. Conor Culhane impressed at corner forward scoring three points whilst the Kiladangan defence were steady throughout the game with Eoin Meagher putting in a great performance in goals with some excellent puck outs.
Full teams, scorers and score tracker is available on KiladanganGAA.com. The lads currently sit second in the group. The remaining round five games will take place this coming weekend and the results will determine if Kiladangan progress to the Semi Finals.
Junior 'B' Hurling
Well done to the Junior 'B' hurlers who commenced their League campaign last Sunday evening with a 2-16 to 0-12 win away to Borrisokane. Borrisokane had the better of the first half proceedings and went into the break with a 0-10 to 0-7 lead. Kiladangan settled quickly into the second half when on the 31st minute, Darren Ryan flicked the ball into the back of the Borris net after a long range free dropped short into the edge of the square. Darren found the back of the net again on the 46th minute after some great set up play by Ryan Gillick and Joss Slattery. This goal gave Kiladangan a six point cushion and they pushed on thereafter, winning out by ten points.

The lads will take on Portroe this coming Saturday 13th May at 7.00 pm in Puckane against Portroe in the second round.
Junior Football
The Junior 'A' Footballers game against Portroe did not go ahead last Friday due to a water logged pitch. In took place instead on Monday 8th May in Puckane with the lads securing a 2-10 to 1-8 win in an exciting game of football. Kiladangan had a 1-5 to 0-5 half time lead with an Eoin Meagher goal early in the game proving to be the difference between the sides. With Kiladangan needing to win by five points to secure progression to the Final, all looked to be going well for them going into added time as they led by 1-10 to 0-8. However, a fisted Conor O'Brien effort found its way to the back of the Kiladangan net for Port. There was still time with more drama when a Kiladangan player was fouled in the box with the game in its dieing seconds. Up stepped Darren Moran who finished the penalty to the back of the Port net to give Kiladangan their required five point victory which booked a final against Roscrea. The Final is provisionally scheduled to take place on Wednesday 17th May with time and venue yet to be determined. Full teams, scorers and score tracker is available on KiladanganGAA.com.

Under 17
Hard luck to the Under 17 hurlers who lost out to Upperchurch Drombane last Monday 1st May in Round 2 in Drombane on a 3-12 to 2-24 scoreline. They faced Burgess in Round 3 last Monday where they had an exciting 1-13 to 0-16 draw. A late Tom Boland goal looked to have been the winning score for Kiladangan only for Burgess scoring the drawing point in the dieing seconds of the game.

Sympathy
Kiladangan GAA Club wish to express sympathy to the Slattery family on the sad passing of Tom Slattery (Carhue). Tom was a member of the Tipperary Senior Hurling Panel in the early 1960's. Tom was known for his diversity on the hurling field and played in goals for the Kiladangan minor team that lost the 1956 North Final to Toomevara. He moved to full forward on the victorious 1959 North Under 21 team where they had 7-4 to 7-1 win over Borrisokane. Tom made his Senior debut for Kiladangan in 1958 and hurled for the club into the late 60's. He was corner back on the 1966 North Intermediate winning side who went onto lose the county final by a single point and was noted as one of Kiladangan's best performers on the day along side his brother Denis who was full back. May he rest in peace.
Kiladangan GAA Club wish to express sympathy to the Slattery and Kennedy families on the sad passing of Mick and Gretta Slattery (Puckane) who both passed away in recent days. Both Mick and Gretta were great supporters of the club over the years. May they both rest in peace.
