Intermediate Hurling
Well done to the Intermediate Hurlers who had an exciting 3-15 to 1-14 extra time win over Golden Kilfeacle last Saturday evening in Golden in the County Hurling League Division 4 Semi Final. After an early scuffle in the game - Kiladangan were reduced to 13 men with Golden reduced to 14. Kiladangan led 0-6 to 0-1 at half time in a low scoring first half with Golden in particular guilty of shooting a number of wides. The home side improved their performance in the second half and levelled matters on the 51st minute with a goal. They claimed the lead for the first time in the game on the 58th minute mark before Johnny Horan's long range point deep into injury time bought the game to extra time - 0-12 to 1-9. Golden had the better of the first half of extra time - outscoring Kiladangan 0-3 to 0-1 to lead 1-12 to 0-13 with Jack Leamy impressing for the westerners. However, as the old saying goes - 'goals win matches' and this was the case for Kiladangan in the second half of extra time with Darren Moran and Darren Ryan finishing to the back of the Golden net in quick sucession. Eoghan Sharkey finished well for Kiladangan's third goal late in extra time with Darren Ryan and Conor Culhane following up with points to secure a seven point victory.

Junior 'B' Hurling
Kiladangan booked their place in the North Junior 'B' Hurling Final after an exciting 3-20 to 3-16 win over Moneygall last Friday evening in Moneygall.
Kiladangan started brightly and were ahead 1-3 to 0-0 after ten minutes with Ciaran Kelly the Kiladangan goal scorer. Moneygall responded well with a Tommy Devereux goal on the 24th minute - there was little between the sides at half time with Kiladangan leading 1-8 to 1-7. Kiladangan had an ideal start to the second half scoring two goals in quick succession. The first was a long range Bill Cleary effort with the second coming from Eoin Kelly who rounded his man and finished well to the back of the net. Moneygall did not give up with Jody Troy and Ger Kiwan impressing off the bench. Devereux scored his second goal on the 46th minute and this was followed up with two Dylan Maher frees to level the sides. It was Kiladangan's turn for a purple patch when they outscored Moneygall 0-5 to 0-2 going into the closing stages of the game. Deep into injury time, Devereux was again to foil Kiladangan with his third goal batted into the Kiladangan net to level the sides. Devereux did have a chance to win it with a fine effort from the side line drifting wide. Extra time followed which turned out to be a cagey affair with sides hitting wides as they tired. Kiladangan had the better of this period with Darren Ryan to the fore with three points in extra time to help his side to victory.
