Well done to Aine Slattery (Coolbawn) and Niamh Hackett (Urra) who found two of the golden tickets so far. They now go into the draw for the €500 jackpot which will take place on Friday 4th March.

College’s Hurling

It was a mixed bag for the Kiladangan hurlers competing in the Fitzgibbon Cup Quarter Final’s which took place last week. There was success for both Fergal Hayes and Darragh Flannery with Fergal corner back for Carlow IT in their impressive 1-17 to 0-14 win over UCC whilst Darragh was a member of the NUIG panel that defeated Waterford IT by 1-22 to 2-13. Billy Seymour and Ronan Ducie lined out for TUS Midwest (formerly LIT) as they were defeated by GMIT by 1-19 to 1-12 with Billy scoring 1-4 (3 frees) from full forward.

Both Semi Final’s and Final’s will take place this week. On Wednesday 16th, Darragh Flannery’s NUIG will face neighbours GMIT in Pearse Stadium at 2pm whilst on Thursday 17th, Fergal Hayes’ Carlow IT side take on UL at 7.30 pm in Carlow. The Final will take place on Saturday 19th at 3.15 pm in Carlow. Best of luck to both Darragh and Fergal.
